Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) is taking proactive steps to ensure the safety of students and staff at the Arlington-Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair (UTA-FWRSEF). The district has installed anti-ballistic film on the windows and doors of all elementary and secondary schools in the district. The UTA-FWRSEF is the longest-running science fair in the United States, bringing together several hundred student exhibitors from a ten-county area of North Texas. The Texas Science and Engineering Fair will be hosted in person by the Department of Engineering at Texas A&M University beginning in March 2024. All students from 6th to 12th grade from a public, private, local or parochial school in the Fort Worth region are eligible to participate. The Arlington-Fort Worth Regional Science Fair in Utah is celebrating its 73rd edition. It is an organization formed by community and business volunteers whose goal is to focus attention on science and stimulate student interest beyond classroom work. If all the guidelines and rules of the Regeneron Science and Engineering Fair are met, students can still enter the Regional Fair individually.
