Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) is taking proactive steps to ensure the safety of students and staff at the Arlington-Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair (UTA-FWRSEF). The district has installed anti-ballistic film on the windows and doors of all elementary and secondary schools in the district. The UTA-FWRSEF is the longest-running science fair in the United States, bringing together several hundred student exhibitors from a ten-county area of North Texas. The Texas Science and Engineering Fair will be hosted in person by the Department of Engineering at Texas A&M University beginning in March 2024. If all the guidelines and rules of the Regeneron Science and Engineering Fair are met, students can still enter the Regional Fair individually.
